1. This would have been Wayne's Mom's birthday today. She would have been 95 today. She is missed by all her family and next week we will go to Cheyenne to see all Wayne's siblings and have a party in her honor. It is also my brother Ned's birthday, and my cousin Janene's birthday.
2. I pruned the roses and pulled up the old plants from the planter boxes from last year. Emerson hauled them all in my wagon over to the dumpster. He loves working in the yard.
He also went with me to Laura's to take her some pussy willows, and when we left he said "well that was fun". On the way there, he fell down and scraped his hands but I told him lotion would make them better. When we got home he asked for the lotion. He doesn't forget anything.
3. Wayne went golfing for the first time this year. He was supposed to go with Jim Utley, but Jim is pretty sick so he went alone. He had a great time but lost 65 cents to the other guys. He shot an 82 though. Pretty darn good for the first time out.
4. We had to go to the grocery store again. We got down to where we just had nothing left in the house. Our grocery bill so far this month (including Costco) is already close to $400. It should stock us up for a while though. Let's hope. The high gas prices are going to push everything higher.
5. Wes finally got the heat ducts in their house done so Amy packed up and went home after 3 1/2 weeks. I know she must have been anxious to get back to her own stuff and space. I don't blame her at all. I will miss E's little face coming into my room every morning though to say hello. He did say he wanted to go home to play his drums and play with his fire truck. I said I would miss him and he said "Grandma don't worry, we'll be back".
