I like to think of myself as a "with it" person most of the time, but technology has passed me by in many ways. I use a flip phone, desk-top computer, and a Sony Disc man. I just learned to text...I'd much rather email or pick up the phone. I don't have a Tivo and still can't figure out how to play a DVD on the basement DVD player.
In some ways I am a little more progressive. I do play movies on the flat screen tv, know how to blog, use my flip phone, Twitter and do facebook. I love technology but I am also cheap enough not to want to throw away good electronic equipment unless I'm forced. I still want to watch my videos, talk into my tape recorder and walk while listening to my CD's. I have given up the typewriter and the camera with the film and flashbulbs but I'm hanging onto my stereo with the diamond needle and all my records. Maybe I'm part cheap and part nostalgic but just maybe next year I will have a kindle and an IPAD. We'll talk in 2011 about this again.
