I have a LOT of static electricity in my body. I get shocked every time I touch my car, even when I have rubber soles on my shoes. Years ago, when I would rock in the rocking chair, the TV would get snowy each time I rocked toward it. I get shocked each time I touch the light switch and about anything else. My skirts, slips, sweaters, hair, etc. are always in need of a spritz of "Static Guard" and it works pretty well but I would have to spray every time I wore something. This is a hint I found on another site, and though skeptical, I thought I would give it a try. You take a safety pin and pin it to to the hem or seam of a garment. Supposedly the pin acts as a lightening rod drawing the static electricity to it. I put one in my sweater and one in a skirt and you know what? It worked. Who knew? I still have to spray my hair brush with "Static Guard" though.
