1.  I went through the house today giving all my plants a hair cut.  Some of them had gotten out of control.  I cut whole branches off the Christmas cactus, and the ivy was pruned back a lot.  I hope they survive.  I was rather heavy handed.
2.  I did the laundry and was thinking how easy it is to do it these days with great washers and dryers, good detergent and fabric softener.  I remember days when things came  out of the washer so wrinkled that you could never just hang them up.  Fabrics don't always have to be ironed now, although I usually do. BUT,  I don't have to sprinkle everything with water first like we used to.  Also, with only 2 in the home there is a lot less to do.  I remember what it was like to have dirty kids and several loads a day or week.
3.  I made dinner tonight....a rare occurrence.  I made Carbonara but used less fat, cheese, and eggs.  That didn't work.  It was good, but for really good Carbonara I guess you need all that bacon fat.  Live and learn.
4.  I did some reading and got about 1/2 my book read,  watched Dancing With the Stars and Castle,  cleaned,  made a card and looked for the $40 I lost yesterday.  I just can't find it.  I am thinking it fell in the parking lot of Smith's and I am heart sick.  If that is the case, I hope it was someone really needy who found it.  I picked out songs for the month for Relief Society, caught up on the blogs,  did a facial scrub and for the 100th time decided I need a pedicure.
5.  I love the personal size packs of microwave kettle popcorn.  We had bought so much that it lasted for two years but there are only 2 left.  It's just the right amount for a one person.  Add a piece of dark Dove chocolate and it's really a fine snack.
