Remember when you were just a little tyke and you needed your blankie to be able to fall asleep? Or you had children that held onto theirs until it they fell apart? (I had those kids by the way). Well I never was attached to one as a child, but now that I am 50 something, I must say that if this blanket falls apart I will be devastated and may have to change this blog title to "Sadness Every Day". It is just a goose down throw, primarily unstructured, and has a VERY soft polyester outside that feels like silk. I have seen and used a few others that have a flannel backing or have sewn baffles or is made of cotton but they aren't the same. I wash mine when I have to, unlike the children in my house wanted to do with theirs, but I am oh so gentle so it will last my lifetime, I hope. They sold these at Costco a few years back and I keep checking at Christmas but they haven't gotten them back in. If they did, I would go buy 3 just to spread around the house. One year I bought them for everybody for Christmas gifts. Almost everyone told me they love them too, guys and girls alike. Although we have a down comforter on the bed, invariably we will curl up in our small down throws for the night. I say "we" because the hubby feels the same way. Oh what a joy they are!

I agree with you 100%! Only in our house, we really do have 3 of them. That's how much I love them!
Joan! What a neat blog...I am so glad that you pointed us to it!
I never was into blankies but
I have a stuffed animal that I sometimes hold as I fall asleep...when I was going through Menopause, it helped when I had insomnia to soothe and comfort me...I may be a grandma, but I still like stuffed animals !
