I have changed the title of this blog ( my second one), from "My Musings" to "A Joy Every Day". I still have my musings, but my motto for life has always been taken from the scriptures which say "men are, that they might have joy". Of course that means women too, and I always try to find joy in any situation. I may not always be successful but I think I am most of the time, even if I have to look a little harder in some cases. I was in the yard a couple of days ago and found this piece of ribbon on the ground. It had obviously blown into my yard and was from one of my neighbor's garbage cans. It filled me with joy just to see it and that's how the new blog title began.

Little Bins
If you give me a gift, you can be sure I will recycle the ribbon from it. Yes, I admit it.... I am a ribbonaholic. I have many, many sacks and spools of it. I even find it hard to use sometimes because it is such fun to look at. I have gotten packages of vintage ric-rac at antique stores, and I make greeting cards using my bit and pieces on those. I also love to make my own bows because it's a joy for me to be able to wrap a pretty present. Maybe it reminds me of my little girl's piggy tails or of my favorite holiday "Christmas"...I don't really know. I have 3 large boxes of Christmas ribbons that are in the attic that I couldn't photograph. All I know is.... the one who dies with the most ribbon, wins.

Joan!
I love your new title and I drooled just a little bit over your ribbon collection. Mine is so small but growing.
I might actually have you beat on the ribbon collection, now I know where I learned my habits. I love this new blog!
Your new blog is just perfect for you! Even your posts on your old blog were mostly of you talking about the random things in life that brought you joy rather than just musings! Looking forward to more joyous posts in the future!
What a wonderful idea Joan. When you come up with these things I always think, "Wow, that's such a great idea!" Of course it makes me want to be still a minute and think of something clever of my very own. Hmmm...I'm thinking....
