
Today is world-wide pasta day. Not just American pasta day, but pasta day for the WHOLE WORLD. When we eat out I usually pick potatoes over pasta because I like them better for my starch, but if they have Chicken Carbonara on the menu, I'm all over it. There are some dishes that are just not good for you, such as heavily marbled rib steak (my favorite) and Chicken Carbonara so I only have these dishes a couple of times a year, but when I do have them, I relish every bite. I feel like the dog on the commercial that yells bacon, bacon, bacon while waiting for his treat. Yes CB is full of bacon and cream. What's not to like? Remember everything in moderation. You can leave out the peas or substitute asparagus and I actually like it made with the bow tie pasta.

Yuuuuum! I want noodles!
We love pasta of any kind but must restrict our intake to once per weekbecause of being on the weight watchers program although, I could eat some every day and never get tired of it. My Hubs grew up eating it 3 times a week so when we got married, he requested we only have it once a week.
