A Pretty Surprise

I have a rose bush growing beneath the edge of my deck. One day I noticed some of the vines creeping into the cracks between the boards on the deck floor. I just let them grow and thought it might be pretty to see them bloom. They did. They situated themselves between the planters sitting on top of the deck so they look like they are growing in one of their own. What a happy surprise. All the pink blossoms you see (bottom, front) are part of the rose underneath.

Well, that's just irritating! You have roses growing between the crack on your deck and I can't get mine to look that good planting them the "normal" way.

They look like they were put there on purpose! They fit in so perfectly! Maybe they didn't like being in the rocks all alone and wanted to be up with their blossoming friends!
