I was shopping at Big Lots a few weeks ago and came across these candy ribbons. I had looked for them for years without success but now they are around once again. My Grandma had them when I was a little girl and they always fascinated me. My favorite are the clove and cinnamon flavored ones. I almost hate to eat them but I will and will share a little too. I would call them vintage candy but that would mean I am vintage too, so I won't. It gives me joy just to look at them. I was watching an episode of "Unwrapped" on the Food Network and they showed the process on how they are made. Still a lot of hand work to get them just right. I have a faux candy ribbon ornament on my tree. You could hang real ones but they are fragile so I will keep mine for munching.
