I felt such joy and gratitude today as I attended women's conference today. Several women talked about the trials they had undergone and risen from with the help of Christ's tender mercies.

One had gotten strep after her baby was born and was given a 5% chance of living. It had invaded her whole body and she ended up having 6 fingers and both feet amputated yet is happy and thriving. She was grateful that the doctor's percentages were not the same as our father in Heaven's.

Another was a mother of three tiny children who lost her husband to leukemia. She had to try to figure how to live life as a widow at 28. She is doing well and acknowledged all who helped her with food, tending children and just being there for her.

Another woman had a baby girl who had "bubble boy" disease and who had to undergo 2 bone marrow transplants, one with the marrow of her sister. The little girl is doing well but the future is still uncertain for her. The mother is optimistic but prepared for whatever is ahead.

All three are positive, happy and such good examples of the human spirit that is anchored in Christ. Faith, hope and charity was abundant in all of their lives.
