Emerson and I play a game called "Do You Like" where I ask him if he likes certain things, usually 4 or 5 things in a row very quickly.

Me: Emerson do you like dump trucks?

Emerson: yea

Me: Emerson do you like ice cream?

Emerson: YES!

Me: Emerson, do you like bubbles?

Emerson: uh huh

Me: Emerson, do you like Grandpa

Emerson: Yes

Me: Emerson, do you like snakes?

He used to say yes and then I would act shocked and disgusted and he would laugh.
Now when we play it, he is listening carefully and appropriately answers NO. I tell him snakes are not good or fun (I know they have their place in the universe) just not in mine. He knows not to like spiders, bugs, etc. that disgust me, but I think that won't last much longer as boys naturally gravitate to those kind of things. One day he is going to answer "yes" again and I will looked shocked and disgusted, but he will mean it.

What joy this 2 year old gives me.
