Well, it's national pretzel day today. I like them in all forms...the big chewy bread dough ones with Parmesan cheese, the little hard ones, the chocolate covered ones, the rods covered with caramel and chocolate and then this candy type recipe.
Pretzel Turtles

Original recipe yield 20 candies ( you really should double this recipe)
20 small mini waffle pretzels
20 chocolate covered caramel candies such as Rolo's or dove with caramel
20 pecan halves (toasted is better)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
Arrange the pretzels in a single layer on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Place one chocolate covered caramel candy on each pretzel.
Bake for 3 to 4 minutes. While the candy is warm, press a pecan half onto each candy covered pretzel. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
